CHOICES
How would you like your coffee and tea to taste? Rich, strong and black or mellow, mild and smooth? There are so many flavours to enjoy, from the boisterous and intense through to the deliciously subtle and complex.
Here are some ideas for your spring tasting. They include: a smooth Central American coffee with nutty undertones, a very rich and deliciously full bodied South American variety, and a speciality blend we created for filter makers. Plus: A black tea with a rose fragrance, a very high quality green tea with a sweet mellow aftertaste, and an Oolong variety with a hint of fruitiness.
COFFEE
El Salvador Santa Barbara has an intriguing flavour, which is rather smooth, fairly mild, and has a nutty character. It is a Rainforest Alliance coffee which means that the producers are part of a programme covering social issues, worker protection, plus concern for the environment.
Colombia San Agustin has the richest and deepest flavours of all coffees in our extensive selection, which includes three other very fine coffees. The farmers who produce San Agustin in the Huila district owe a large part of their success to the fact that they are most concerned about quality rather than quantity.
We created our Hanover Blend especially for customers who want a coffee with a lively bright flavour that is not mild, but has a combination of refreshing acidity and good body; the sort that entices one to demand yet one more cup. Blended for preparation by the filter method, from Central American, South American and East African coffees, it will also prepare well in Cafetières.

TEA
China Black Congou teas are carefully made to achieve fullness and harmony. Rose Congou, so named because rose petals are added to the tea, introduces a subtle scent of roses to the fullness of this tea. Best drunk black.
Lung Ching Dragon’s Well is a green tea
of exceptional quality that can be appreciated on its own as well
as making a very pleasing accompaniment to many foods. Best drunk
without milk, it will make delightful iced tea on a
hotpring afternoon.
If you have never experimented with Oolong Teas they can be a real surprise and add a new chapter to your tea drinking. Formosa Oolong, a semi fermented tea, produced to a strict process of traditional manufacture, has a delicate rounded flavour with a slight fruitiness. When preparing Green and Oolong Teas we recommend allowing the water in the kettle to go off the boil before pouring it on to the leaves. (Our glass teapots show the wonderful colours and appearance of these teas.
