Summer 2010
This summer we have introduced two new teas, a new coffee, and some new consignments of old favourites have just arrived.
Coffee
New
El Salvador Las Delicias Reserve is a limited edition microlot of coffee of which we only have a small amount. Medium roast it has a full flavour with just a hint of sweet acidity and a smooth 'chocolatey' finish. Best served black or with milk. Rainforest Alliance Certified.
New Consignments
Costa Rica Tarrazu Hermosa is grown at high altitude in the Dota county of Tarrazu, which is located one hour thirty minutes south of the capital, San Jose. Produced by Cafecoop co-operative farmers whose brand name is Hermosa. A coffee with a beautiful complete character, which has pleasing body, with a sweet to delicately sharp finish.
Nicaragua Sabor de Segovia is a rich, lively cofee with a hint of chocolaty aftertaste. Suitable for all coffee makers. Serve black or with milk or cream. This is a FAIRTRADE certified Coffee.
Tea
Paksong Wild Excelsior Black is a very expressive golden black
tea, naturally smoky with a hint of spice. The tea is wrapped in
banana leaves as it oxidises, resulting in its unique
flavour.
Brew for 3 to 4 minutes with water just off the boil. This is a
FAIRTRADE certified tea.
Paksong Wild Excelsior Green gives a refreshing infusion which
is complex in character. It is naturally sweet with subtle floral
notes and buttery undertones.
A quick brewing tea, it is best brewed for 2 minutes at most with
water at around 70C. The leaves will give three further brews of
increasing quality.
