Coffees ‹ Introduction ‹ Storing Coffee
Coffee keeps best in an airtight container and in a cool, dry environment. It may be stored in the freezer and requires no defrosting before use. We offer beans or ground coffee in a range of pack sizes, using our traditional brown paper bags or our 'silver' valve bags, because most of our coffee is weighed and packed to the requirements of the individual customer.
Traditional Brown Paper Bags
These bags have a special lining which helps to protect the coffee
and keep it fresh. Pack sizes 125g, 250g, 500g, 1-1.5kg, 2-2.5kg.
These bags may be stored in the freezer in a freezer bag or
container.

'Silver' Valve Bags
These bags
have a special one-way valve which allows the coffee to be packed
immediately after roasting and ensures that it retains its
freshness. Pack sizes 125g, 250g, and 1kg. These bags may be stored
in the freezer without the use of a freezer bag or container, and
we recommend this especially for ground coffee. Unopened they may
be kept for up to 6 months. Once opened use within 2 weeks.
