Original Coffees :: Brazil
Brazil Bourbon
Very low in acidity, especially when very dark roasted, it has a subtle piquancy, and has been described as 'chocolatey'. The variety probably takes its name from a single coffee tree presented by the Dutch to King Louis XIV of France in 1713. Seedlings were later transported to the French Island of Bourbon, now called Reunion. First introduced into Brazil in around 1720, our coffee is grown by a Brazilian farmer who specializes in traditional production methods. Suitable for preparation in all coffee makers. Serve black or with cream.
If you would like to send this coffee as a gift we can pack it in one of our attractive Higgins Coffee Canisters.
