Rooibosch Tea :: Rooibosch Tea
Rooibosch or Red Bush tea is grown in South Africa. The plant is Aspalathus linereas, a legume, and the leaves are oxidized producing the reddish brown colour which is evident in the cup. The tea contains antioxidants but has no caffeine content. Cultivation began in the 1930s but the plant has been used for medical purposes for several centuries.
Rooibosch Tea
Rooibosch tea is best drunk black and brewed for up to 8 minutes to ensure a full bodied rich and rounded flavour. A little honey can be added for sweetness.
