Introducing: Darjeeling Spring Blossom First Flush

David Higgins’ sophisticated and refined palate is born from a lifetime in the coffee and tea industry. When he discovers a tea that excites him, his determination to bring it to his customers, so they can also experience the delights he has uncovered, knows no bounds.

H.R. Higgins are therefore pleased to introduce a rare Limited Edition fine tea to their repertoire: Spring Blossom Darjeeling First Flush.

darjeeling first flush

This exquisite Darjeeling is grown on the historical, award-winning estate of Selimbong. Operating since 1886, this acclaimed tea garden is known for its outstanding tea quality, and this particular Spring Blossom First Flush is no exception.

Spring Blossom is a light black tea but, due to its hard-withering early in the process, its appearance is similar to most green teas. Early hard-withering releases moisture and gives the tea time to properly oxidise.

When tasted, this tea is described as sparkling. The freshness is immediate and it lends sublime tropical fruit flavours with floral notes and a delicious minerality in the finish.

David recommends brewing this Darjeeling for 2-3 minutes using water at 85 degrees.

H.R. Higgins have only a very limited stock of this fine tea, so it will be available for a short period only.
