A message from David and Mr Tony…

H.R. Higgins would like to take this opportunity to reassure all of our customers in what can only be described as a period of uncertainty for everyone.

We are working hard to continue business as usual for as long as we can, however for everyone’s protection, we have introduced new measures which change how we do things.

Our first priority is the safety of our patrons and our staff and though these decisions have not come easily, we feel ultimately that we are doing the right things in the current climate.

We have taken action to try and minimize disruption and for as long as we are able to, we will deliver as normal. All of our products carry a best before date of at least 6 months as standard and we are hopefully that we can continue providing coffee and tea for the foreseeable future.

We do expect to have to extend measures in the coming days, weeks, and months as the situation develops but we will of course keep you updated as and when this happens.

Change in Office Hours

So that we can protect our team and continue to offer our customers the best service, we are making some additional changes to the business.

From today, we will be limiting our telephone hours 10am – 1pm, Monday to Friday.

Outside of these hours, you can still place orders via our website, www.hrhiggins.co.uk

We will be available to help via email if you have any queries.

Throughout this crisis, the safety of our staff has been our main priority. For that reason, we hope that you can understand the changes we are making.

We would like to say how grateful and humbled we are for your continued support as we all navigate this crisis together.

We have had an incredible amount of orders in the last week, something that is allowing us to keep going as a business, be it behind closed doors for now.

Though we are trying to keep our service as efficient as possible, the current situation we are all facing is having an impact on our day to day running.

We wrote to you last week explaining that our delivery partners are still going, but working within the current restrictions means they have been forced to extend expected delivery times and suspend some of their services.

To those of you who have been experiencing delays, we are sorry. We are processing and shipping orders as quickly as we can, so we must ask that you please bear with us. Along with our delivery partners, we will get your orders to you as soon as we possibly can.

Once again, thank you for continuing to support us with your custom at what is undoubtedly a difficult time.

Shop Closure

In light of the escalating seriousness surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the difficult decision to close the doors of our Duke Street Shop for the foreseeable future.

The protection of our customers and staff are paramount and so we are taking these sad but sensible measures to ensure everyone’s safety.

Deliveries

We are happy to say that we are still continuing to roast and deliver coffee to our customers as normal.

To ensure that we can keep delivering, we have been working closely with our delivery partners. Both Royal Mail and Parcel Force have contacted us today with details of some changes they have made to their services which will allow them to keep going while keeping safe.

What this will mean is that deliveries may take a little longer to get from us to you. Please be rest assured though, your orders will be delivered.
