Kenya Estate - Mr Higgins Recommends

This coffee is like a jewel among the gems of the fascinating and varied world of coffee.

Over many years Kenya has developed its coffee industry becoming one of the top and most sought-after producers for  coffees of outstanding quality.

Kenya coffees have a unique and highly developed acidity coupled with a fruity sparkling intensity. Don’t take me literally, of course the coffee doesn’t actually sparkle but the fine acidity dances on the palate.

If you need a morning wake-up start to your day Kenya Estate will provide it with an intensity of flavour and aroma. Alternatively, it makes a very fine after-dinner coffee especially following a rich pudding, cheese and fruit. It has the ability to cleanse and refresh the palate. This particular consignment is one of the finest I have tasted.

It prepares well in all coffee makers, and is especially recommended for preparation in pour over filters and plunger pots.

Ted, our Head of Coffee has developed it as a light roast, which perfectly releases its bright and lively character.

I do hope you enjoy our Kenya Estate.

Sincerely

Tony Higgins

Rwandan Women's Cooperative Coffee - Mr Higgins Recommends

This month I am recommending a coffee produced by women. The Rwanda Women’s Cooperative Coffee Rusiga Sector is a collection of small farms entirely owned by women. They took over the ownership of their lands and are now expert coffee farmers with the help of the Kinini Project.
