For September I am recommending you one of the world’s rarest coffees.  At times the world’s most expensive coffee.  Jamaica Blue Mountain. 

The classification Blue Mountain is only given to a small proportion of the Jamaican coffee crop.  The limited supply and the constant demand for this superb coffee from all around the world has seen its price reach unprecedented levels. 

It has an aroma that reminds me of freshly baked rolls.  It has a delicacy which enlarges into a surprising fullness in the mouth.  I find notes of blackcurrant and black grape.

But I sound a note of caution because, if you enjoy very strong powerful coffee, you will need to give your palate time to adjust to Jamaica Blue Mountain, for its feature is delicacy and subtlety.  It will prepare in all coffee makers, if you use a Cafetiere be a little more generous with the amount of ground coffee.
