Creole Blend

Creole Blend is one of our best sellers and has been a frequent feature of our daily roasting schedule from the very early years of our business.

Created by Harold Higgins in the 1950s, this blend was designed for customers who were asking for stronger, darker blends but without any harsh bitterness or acidity.

With notes of dark chocolate and rich cacao, this blend has become very popular as an after-dinner coffee, but the refreshing blackberry finish makes it perfect for all occasions.

1942 Blend

Specially created by David Higgins himself, 1942 Blend is our premium espresso blend.

We blend medium roasted Arabica beans from small lot farms in Brazil, Colombia and Costa Rica to create a perfectly balanced cup. The result is a smooth, rich shot with notes of sweet caramel, powerfully fruity with no bitterness. A truly classic espresso coffee.

1942 Blend is a tribute to David’s Grandfather and H. R. Higgins founder, Harold Rees Higgins. Harold began his business in 1942 because of his immense passion for roasting exceptional coffees.

Vienna Blend

Vienna Blend has featured in all our selections since that first list in 1946, crafted by Harold Higgins to satisfy the demand for Viennese style brews.

Our Vienna Blend is a mixture of medium roast beans creating a smooth, rich and delectable coffee with a medium body and notes of honey, pear and milk chocolate.

The Classic Coffee Gift Bag comprises 125g of each coffee presented in a stylish cloth bag, which is hand printed in gold. You will also find three tasting cards and a H.R. Higgins brew guide to inspire you.
