Brazil Santos Dark Roast
One of our most popular Brazil Santos coffees with the delicious flavour characteristics we have come to know and love from Brazil.
Product Description
Coffee: Brazil Santos Coffee
Region: Sul de Minas, Cerrado
Altitude: 800-1350 metres
Farm: Mogiana
Process: Dry processed
Brazil Santos coffee is traditionally dry processed. The cherries are dried in the sun in their skins before being hulled and graded for export.
This makes a delicate bean which requires careful roasting to avoid scorching the coffee. The beans are large screen 17/18 size, and are denoted Strictly Soft Fine Cup quality.
Roasted to this slightly darker colour, the flavour is very smooth with just a hint of acidity and a rich plum, chocolate background.
We recommend brewing this coffee as a filter or pourover. Use 19g of coffee per 250ml of water.

H.R. Higgins sources all of its coffee through long-established relationships with individual coffee farms, cooperatives and trusted coffee partners. In most cases, we have direct relationships with farmers which span decades.
Sustainability is a hugely important factor to us as a business and now, more generally in the wider coffee industry. The most important part of the entire coffee process is that the coffee farmers, their families and their communities all benefit from our relationships. Specifically, we work with farms that care for the local environment, and support both their workers and their families. This is the first and most crucial step in the process of producing exceptional coffee.
