The Gift Box
Creole Blend
Created by Harold Higgins in the 1950s, this blend was designed for customers who were asking for stronger, darker blends but without any harsh bitterness or acidity.
Creole Blend is a mixture of South American beans from Colombia and Brazil, roasted dark to produce a coffee that is powerful, rich and very smooth.
With notes of dark chocolate and rich cacao, this blend has become very popular as an after-dinner coffee, but the refreshing blackberry finish makes it perfect for all occasions.
Rwanda Woman's Cooperative Coffee
Rwandan Women's Cooperative is a special coffee grown entirely by women. The Cooperative Coffee Rusiga Sector who grow this coffee is a collection of small farms owned entirely by women. This coffee is a light roast, allowing for the fruity flavours of Blackcurrant, Gooseberry, and Lime to shine through and notes of Black Tea in the background with a rich, syrupy body and mouthfeel.
Santiago Blend
Created in the 1960s by Mr Tony, our Santiago Blend was born of a desire for stronger, more powerful coffees.
Costa Rica San Jose
Costa Rica San Jose is prepared by the Honey Process producing a coffee with natural sweetness. This is a truly unique coffee with delicate fruity notes of lychee and pear and a sweet, honey finish.

The Sound of Footsteps, and the Call from the Palace
Our Accountant, working in the same room, had just turned to me and said “Mr Tony, that is Buckingham Palace on the phone to Miss Audrey” I replied “Really, I wonder what they want?”
Introducing El Salvador Finca El Ingenio
We’re often asked when the next new coffee is coming. The truth is, bringing a new coffee into the H.R.Higgins range is never rushed. It’s a process that takes time, care and a great deal of tasting.
Finca El Ingenio is the result — a distinctive coffee grown on a sixth-generation farm in El Salvador’s Ahuachapán region. Shade grown, Rainforest Alliance certified and honey processed, it offers bright grapefruit and lime, tropical fruit and a smooth fudge-like sweetness, with just a hint of funk.
