The Gift Box
Guatemala
Guatemala Nueva Granada is a sumptuous coffee grown in the volcanic highlands of San Marcos. Guatemala Nueva Granada is roasted light, bringing out fruity notes of nectarine, raspberry and apple with a mild acidity.
In addition to growing coffee, the farm provides a school for the children of the estate and computer training, as well as a healthcare clinic. They also pipe fresh spring water to 4,000 nearby residents.
Kenya Estate
Kenya Estate is a bright, lively, AA quality coffee and is grown in the Nyeri region just 100 miles from the foot of Mount Kenya.
Grown by Acacias Members from six cooperative societies, the beans have been awarded the AA grade, which refers to their larger than normal bean size. Kenya Estate is a light roast, releasing a bright and lively acidity. It has delicious fruity notes of pineapple and red berries with hints of strawberries and cream at the finish.
Tanzania Kibo Chagga
While profiling this new crop of Tanzania Kibo Chagga, David Atkinson, our head roaster, along with David Higgins has experimented with many roast variations in order to find its best characteristics as we know how special this coffee is.
Roasted medium, you will enjoy notes of Plum and raspberry with a soft red apple acidity and a smooth chocolate finish.

Ethiopia Guji Hambela is a bright, well rounded coffee from Hambela Farm in Ethiopia. We roast this coffee light for a cup with notes of blueberry, soft lime, floral and stone fruit. Ethiopia Hambela is best enjoyed black and makes for a vibrant, flavourful espresso.

Coffee & Culture on Mount Street
Since 1942, H.R.Higgins has been part of Mayfair’s story. From our shop on Duke Street, just a few steps from Mount Street, we have welcomed generations of customers in search of something exceptional. Next week, that story continues as we take part in the Mount Street Arts Festival, running from 13 to 18 October 2025.
International Coffee Day: A Story That Continues
“At its beginning H.R.Higgins (Coffee-man) had to be wholesale only because, as my father says in his diary, you couldn’t expect retail customers to climb up five flights of stairs.”
