You will need...

30g of Japanese Cherry Tea

800ml of Cold Filtered Water

Honey, Sugar or Agave for Sweetening

Ice

Method...

Place 30g of Japanese Cherry Tea into a large jug. It needs to hold up to 1 litre for this recipe.

Place 800ml of cold water (preferably filtered) over the tea leaves and leave in the fridge for at least 10 hours.

Remove the brew from the fridge and strain. You can do this by pouring the tea through a fine mesh strainer into a fresh jug.

To serve, add ice to your glass and pour over your tea.

Top Tip

If you like your iced tea to be sweet, a simple sugar syrup can be made, 1 part sugar to 2 parts water in a pan and bring to the boil to dissolve the sugar and form a syrup. Alternatively, you can add sweetness with a drop of honey.
